This easy printable ghost garland is a fun way to decorate for Halloween with kids. Just print, cut out the ghosts, and string them together for a simple homemade Halloween decoration.
I made two versions of the printable: one with ghost faces already included and one with blank faces so kids can design their own.
Make Your Own Ghost Garland
For the quickest version, print the ghosts with the faces already drawn, cut them out, and hang them on a string.
Or print the blank ghost version and let kids draw their own faces first. They can make them spooky, silly, surprised, happy—or come up with completely different expressions for every ghost.
Once the ghosts are finished, cut them out and attach them to string or yarn to make your garland.
What You’ll Need
- Free printable ghost template
- White cardstock or regular printer paper
- Scissors
- Markers, crayons, or colored pencils for the blank version
- String, yarn, or twine
- Needle (optional)
- Tape or a hole punch
Cardstock will make the ghosts a little sturdier, but regular printer paper works just fine too.
More Ways to Use the Printable Ghosts
You definitely don’t have to turn these into a garland!
My kids had fun hiding the ghosts around our house and turning them into a little ghost hunt. You could hide them in different rooms and see how quickly the kids can find them all.
The individual ghosts would also be cute for Boo-ing a neighbor’s door. Add a few ghosts to your Halloween treats or tape them onto the door as part of the surprise.
You could also use them to decorate windows, bedroom doors, a classroom, or anywhere that needs a few friendly ghosts for Halloween.
